SR 29 Immokalee PD&E Study
Project Description
The expansion of SR 29 from Oil Well Road to SR 82 is identified within the Collier Metropolitan Planning
Organization's (MPO) 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and is consistent with Collier County's adopted
Growth Management Plan. This evaluation is necessary due to the ongoing population and employment growth
in and around the study area. The provision of safe and efficient transportation to support this growth requires
action to improve the existing transportation network.
The objective of the Project Development and
Environment (PD&E) Study is to provide documented information necessary for FDOT to reach a decision on the type, design, and location of improvements to SR 29 for acceptance by the FDOT Office of Environmental Management.
