Alignments Workshop

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in cooperation with Collier County and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), held an Alignments Public Workshop for the SR 29 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study. This study will develop alternative concepts to improve capacity on SR 29 from Oil Well Road to SR 82 in Collier County. It will also consider possible alignments to the east and west of downtown Immokalee. The workshop was from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Immokalee One-Stop Career Center, 750 South 5th Street, Immokalee, Florida.

Click on the icons below to view the video presentation, project handout (in both English and Spanish), and the graphics that were on display at the workshop. Your comments are very important. Please review the alignments shown and tell us which alignment(s) you like, or don't like and why. Also, tell us if you know of any other features that should be avoided. You may send us your comments via the Comments page on this web site by July 6, 2009 so that they can be considered in the selection of the alignment(s) to be carried forward in the PD&E study.
